About Sub-Zero Refrigerators
An industry leader in kitchen storage, Sub-Zero is a lesser known appliance company that produces quality refrigerators for use in any home or business. Established in 1945, Sub-Zero was the first company to develop the built-in refrigerator, which fit smoothly in with existing cabinetry.
Sub-Zero produces multiple types of refrigerators. Among them, they offer a side-by-side refrigerator/freezer model, as well as a traditional over-under model. You may also want to look at a straight refrigerator without a freezer unit, particularly if you own a separate freezer already. All refrigerators also come with multiple options, such as built-in wine storage, water dispensers, and more.
Sub-Zero refrigerators are divided by Series:
- 200 Series refrigerators are designed to fit under a kitchen counter, similar to built-in dishwashers. Great for saving on space in small areas.
- 400 Series refrigerators and coolers are meant for wine storage. Sub-Zero produces the 427R model refrigerator, which features a full-sized wine storage unit plus two refrigerated drawers, making it ideal for home bars.
- 600 Series refrigerators are built-in, with available cabinet overlay fronts or Sub-Zeros signature stainless steel finishes. They are ideal for almost any kitchen decor and fit smoothly between cabinets in the smallest of spaces.
- 700 Series refrigerators are integrated, meaning they are designed to blend in with existing decor. Available as drawer or standing units which can be placed anywhere from the kitchen to the master bedroom or family den.
In addition to the models above, Sub Zero also offers the Pro 48, their professional-series refrigerator touted as a "monument to food preservation." This high-quality appliance features an all stainless steel body and multiple drawers and shelves to hold all types of food in the largest of kitchens.
